Our team of peer consultants and professionals guide Mentoring Children of Prisoners grantees through all kinds of challenges to successfully carry out their missions.

Peer Consultants

The Support Center believes that most promising practices come directly from the field and that peers often make the best trainers. With guidance from MCP Support Center staff, veteran grantees serve as peer consultants, building the skills of staff in less experienced programs. Recognizing the importance of a strong peer network, the Support Center includes networking and knowledge sharing at nearly every event—including trainings, conferences, and TA clinics—and maintains a searchable grantee directory to encourage the sharing of resources.
